Foster Bank is pleased to announce the opening of its eighth branch; and its first full-service branch outside the State of Illinois. The new branch will be located at 7410 Little River Turnpike in the Little River Center in Annandale, VA – a short 10 minute drive from Washington, DC. The new state-of-the-art facility will include – three (3) teller windows, an ATM, walk-up window, night depository and self-service kiosk. The projected opening date is May, 2010.
“We are looking to have 5-6 new employees, including a Branch Manager, Personal Bankers and Tellers”, stated Paul Byungtag Kim, President and Chief Executive Officer of Foster Bank. “We have identified a number of potential candidates in the Annandale area, but at this time have not hired anyone. We want to hire people that know the local marketplace, will be instrumental in our growth and will offer extraordinary customer service to which Foster Bank customers have become accustomed to receiving”.
Mr. Kim stated “the bank has observed the growth of the Washington, DC marketplace for a number of years and felt the time was right to enter the market.” Although the current economic situation has seen a number of bank closures Foster Bank continues to remain sound financially and is considered a “well-capitalized” bank.
Foster Bank will become the 2nd Korean bank and 3rd Asian bank to open in Annandale in the last eight (8) years. While Koreans are spread throughout the region, Annandale is the cultural and commercial heart of the community.
